What should I get? Also finance or lease? 2011 328xi or 335xi

This would be my FIRST BMW PURCHASE!!!

I am going to order one of these on Monday...what should I get and should I lease it?

Here are my choices 328i xDrive sedan or 335i xDrive Sedan???

Both will be configured with Premium Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg, BMW Apps, Nav.

With my trade, I would have to put down another 6-7K to get the monthly payments to where I want on the 335i. With the lease (same payment amount), I would get 4K back.

Also, the 328i is about 5K LESS than the 335i.

Which model should I get??? Haven't driven in the 335 yet. Is there much of a difference?

Also, should I lease this? I am concerned because the current special is 27 months. If I lease, then I am trading it back in in just over 2 years with no value in the car for a trade so the next car would have to be paid for with a good chunk of change. On the other hand, I would get 4K BACK if I took them up on their lease offer.

Please help!!!

Whatever you do, never put any money down on a lease.

LEASE 335XI and never look back
i had a 2008 328i and just got a 2011 335XI...there is deff a big difference in the power
and make sure when you sign the lease you only pay first month and fees upfront (~$1500)...do not include your taxes in your initial payment.....god forbid if anything happens to the car then you will never see that money again

Based on your post, you need to do a lot more research before you sign anything. Leases are great as long as you understand them really well. If you sign up for a lease without understanding them really well, you will pay thousands of dollars too much and regret the purchase.

Go to leaseguide.com and study it up. You should drive both cars to make up your own mind.

Good luck.

Is that 20,000 mi during your 27 months? I'd say no good. That's a lot of MSDs to still be in the 600s.

Ah, ok. Yeah, you probably want to just finance a purchase for that many miles. Any more than 15k miles a year and they will be charging you a good bit in financing costs due to the car's depreciation.

For example, I have a 335xi which had an invoice of 49k and I pay $660/mo on 10k mi/year for 36 months. $0 MSDs, $0 down. You can see how your 7 MSDs are quite at bit of money.

That being said, if you don't mind having your money tied up in the MSDs then that's not a bad deal. Given that the MSDs are returned to you at lease end.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah...I am trading in a 07 Acura TL (with a couple accidents). They are giving me 12K for it. So the MSDs will come from there
