e92 service reset - FIXED

Going to replace oil soon and tried to play with the service reset as shown in DIY-thread. But after holding the odometer long enough, the service is not poping up. Only german menu. Any help? I have comfort access if its the reason.

You cant reset it with the engine on. Key has to be on, engine off and doors closed. Hold the odometer button, then scroll through the options with the stalk. Hold the BC button until it asks to reset, release and hold again and it will reset.

Tried today and i have to let the engine running, then it works. I believe with comfort access, you have to let the engine running.

You may be right, I have comfort access too and to do the OBC/CBS reset, engine needs to be running.

Very strange, maybe its a Euro thing. Every car with comfort access that I have reset (which is MANY) I insert key into the holder, the key has to be on so all the lights are on, on the dash. If the engine is running, it will not reset, or even bring you to that menu.
