Yes, the "i" designates the manual shifter.

Yeah, a simple website visit would've answered the question. However, I do think it's a cool question to be asked since it suggests that BMW drivers at least know how to drive a manual. After all, the equivalent question for a Lexus IS would be - Does the IS even come in a manual? Of course, it doesn't

Ironically.....It will be easier for you to find a 335i in an automatic.
I couldnt believe how bad stick availability is with BMW when I was out looking for a 328xi manual. I found exactly two of them within a 50 mile radius of me (10 dealers). ...and to think people called BMW's yuppy mobiles in the 80's. It's a shame how few people on this country no how to drive a manual in this country. |

Hello
I recommend visiting your dealer and have a look on the models get a feel for the car and get some photo copies of options available. Oh yeah, don't forget about the test drive. Good luck and keep us posted |

I thought I read horror stories on this board of people who ordered the steptronic and sport package thinking that it automatically came with paddle shifters, only to find out that they had to specifically ask for paddle shifters.

i love these simple questions. They do have a way of reminding me how little I knew about BMW or the 335i 6 months ago before.

Your question should have been "Why isn't the 335i stick only?"
