I was/am an electrician. Was sort of self-employed though..... My buddy is a contractor, has million dollar house, new 750i, new work trunk, and expensive condo that rents...... < probably makes more that most people in this forum |

I don't work on cars for a living, but I still do a lot of work myself. I installed shocks and springs on my car, and recently swapped the intake manifold for a 3 stage 330i unit. Also did a few other things that aren't so dirty, like sports seats and the homelink mirror.
On my other cars, I've swapped motors, suspensions, done some rewiring, and built a motor for one while back. I also work for a contractor, but I don't own the company :-P |

I am not a professional,
But I sure do love getting my hands dirty wrenching. I think I will go work (without much pay) for AutocarSports (http://www.eurocardoc.com/) when I can retire - just to help rebuild Ferrari and Lamborghini stuff all the time.

I personally think that anything over 450-500k is alot and can get you in a nice home. Prices are low these days |
