How to increase performance & response? Sprint booster!!
Hi guys,
I have an E90 320i, hate the N42 engine, it has got no power at all. For people out there like me that needs more power and more response for their cars, Sprint Booster is the solution. This product is incredible, it gives your car up to 50% increase of responsiveness of your standard car, and also increase in performance!Basically, it's a module that fits under your throttle (*only for BMW-wire acceleration, not cable)It takes about 5 min to install. Its a worth buying product! only cost $500 AUD. Just assume yourself spending $$$ for a minor supercharger kit, this module will response similar to that, and cost you a lot lesser. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Automobiles in the 21st century have replaced the more conventional throttle cable technology for an ECM (Electronic Control Module) that translates pedal travel into electronic signals in order to provide power to the wheels. The ECT system (Electronic Throttle Control) – also known as drive-by-wire – has the unfortunate downside of delayed throttle response and subdued acceleration, creating problems in certain circumstances such as up-hill starts, quick gearchanges, overtaking, etc. The Sprint Booster aims to overcome this throttle response delay for ECT-equipped vehicles, providing crisp on-tap acceleration at the driver's disposal. If interested, please let me know. I can offer a better price(EG. group buy) Reference: (comment from others about 'Sprint Booster') http://www.crossfireforum.org/forum/...ad.php?t=11277 http://www.slkfans.com/ http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...d.php?t=608190 Please feel free to contact me via email adrian_lcp@yahoo.com Thanks Adrian |

Adrian, if you wanted a zippy car why even buy the E90 320i in the first place? If you want a fast car for that price go buy a WRX or something like that, otherwise go for a model a bit higher up in the lineup.
Personally i don't modify my cars away from how it came out of the factory, for the sake of repairs, resale and reliability.

Sorry, I just don't get how this thing works.
If it just fits under the accelerator pedal, how is it meant to do anything?? Pardon my ignorance.

Guys, don't believe me? Just go explore about the product. At the moment, this product is still unknown in Australia, but country like Germany, Singapore & Malaysia are popular for it. Ask around for people that might have it and you'll know this isn't bs & NO scam.
The main point for this booster is to increase responsiveness, not much for performance. |

Hey guys, if anyone is interested, I know this guy who is selling stickers of various "performance" products. You just stick them on the side of your car and he swears your car will go faster....
Aparently the best/fastest sticker is the "Sprint Booster" one.

I'll send one to you. (if you put one of those stickers on an envelope, your mail gets delivered quicker too. AMAZING!)

Hahahaha
Maybe if i get an M3 sticker and M3 badges and put them on my car and say my prayers each night, i'll magically wake up one morning and my 325ci will have morphed into an M3. (jk) P.S. There is nothing that annoys me more than people who try to make their cars into something they're not, honestly why buy the car if your too ashamed of it you need to ham it up to pretend it's something it's not?!?!?!

^I agree but it's not always shame that does it. They acutally love their cars but delude themselves into thinking that $20,000 of accessories make their $20,000 cars actually worth, look like or even drive like an $80,000 car.
But there are some (sleeper) mods which can often make a difference for a relatively small price such as hi flow air filters and (some) exhaust mods. My desire (and, yes, I know it sounds somewhat hypocritical) for the PROcede, however deluded, is to unleash the true potential from the 335 without changing any of the existing hardware (nothing is taken out or replaced).

I don't have issues with unleashing a cars potential, it just irks me when people do pure aesthetic mods to imitate upmarket models.

A 320i is what it is. There is no mystery - what it doesn't do well is apparent in a 5 minute test drive. If performance isn't a major criteria it can nevertheless still be a very rewarding car. And let's face it there are plenty of big engined Bimmers being driven around by people who clearly have no interest in extending the performance envelope. In fact I reckon the vast majority of Bimmer drivers in Oz have never so much as encountered the slightest evidence of oversteer in their cars. Hopefully these people still derive some pleasure from other aspects of their vehicles. |

What's oversteer? I just want to lower my car so I have to go over speedhumps almost sideways!! Man it looks good. Increases "performance" too.
