Need Help With Brake Rotors!!!!
I purchased drill slotted brake rotors for my BMW335I 2007 sports package E90, however they are a little bit smaller than my OEM brakes so the my mech was a little hessitant to install them and told me to verify that this big size difference is normal.. The rotors are specifically for my car but they are just a little smaller, is this normal with non-OEM parts for this car since its a sports packaged car?

Explain a little smaller? The pad generally extends all the way to the edge of the rotor. Which means if it was a little smaller the outer edge of the pad would not be a touching the rotors. I wouldn't even think about installing them.

With brakes I wouldn't take chances, either get rotors that match-up or buy OEM.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

"Little smaller"?? Don't install them!! Get the RIGHT-sized rotors. I believe that those "little smaller" rotors are for 325i, 328i and 330i?? The 335i rotors are bigger.

one time i did brakes, got the wrong part and the rear rotor was like an 1/8 of an inch too wide for the parking brake drum housing hub business and it seemed fine. Put it all on the car and the car would not move!

We need more specific information to help you. That said, my initial response is wtf, how did you not get the right parts? Do not install different sized rotors.

Make sure you did not get the 135's 13.3" front (6 piston) or 12.8" rear rotors by mistake which are sized similar. When it comes to brake, don't play around and make sure you got the correct one. Don't take short cuts.
