AE Exhaust metallic vibration?

I just got my Autobahn Exotics installed today. I noticed that there is a loud metallic vibration sound when I am accelerating around 1800 rpm. Only around that range though. Is it suppose to be like that or was their a problem with the installation?

Check to see if the mid pipes are rubbing against the metal plate in the middle if the car.....maybe there's not enough clearance. I know when we installed my Vanguard, we had to put another couple washers to clear the pipes......

Speaking of that exhaust, are you selling it yet?

Whenever you want to come over to Atlanta and help me uninstall it and put OEM exhaust back on.

Happened to my AE exhaust on first install too. Check your heat shields and that metal bracket, I eventually fixed the issue.

What did you do to fix it? I was told to find where it was in contact and wrap a rag around it.

When I had my AE (which I dearly miss...) I had the same issue the first time I put it on. Just get the car up and push the head shields up and away as far as possible from the midpipes. The smallest touch will lead to a lot of vibration. The AE should not be giving you any issues because it is probably [one of, if not] the best fitting exhaust out there

Definitively sounds like an install issue that needs to be checked - I have installed quite a few AE systems, and they definitively should not sound metallic.
