the driver is probably ok... even though BMW uses light weight material they work on the safeness of the driver and passangers

I hope driver is ok...engine should still be good looks like most of the damage are on the sides

Most insurance policies don't cover track adventures.

The 'ring is considered a one way public road in Germany. Not a race track. In fact the cops will even write traffic tickets for those not following the rules of the ring such as passing on the left only.

But you're right, here in North America, most insurance policies exclude track use using a variety of language.

Check your policy and look at the exclusions. My policy only excludes "speed events or practicing for a speed event". Well a driver's school isn't a speed event. It's a educational event in a controlled environment. No one is being timed and speed is not measured. I'm one of the lucky ones.

However, many other policies exclude any event on a race track or other words to that effect.
