1st Service Costs

At BMW Park Lane in London with just over 1250 miles on the clock came to a total of £377.50 including 20% VAT.

Oil and microfilter (for the airco) change was all that was done.

The "wash & vacuum" which was free was a good reminder that you get what you pay for.

The two year brake fluid change due in October will be £95 in the UK.

In the USA, all of the BMW's are sold with 4-year, 50K mile service all inclusive, so there should not be any service costs. I'm surprised that at that mileage, it needed either oil or the filter, or did you drop a zero?

there should be 2 other recall, no? one for the fuel sensor, and another for the PDM.

yes, oil and microfilter was done on mine too.

Depending on if the car was bought new or used BMW UK does offer service inclusive, where you pay up front for servicing equal to 6yrs or 50,000 miles whichever comes first. The price when bought with a used car doubles so it will be cheaper in the long run not to take the product on a used car.

Service inclusive is only free of charge on 7 series in the UK.

That's right, I was happier to buy an ex demo vehicle and let the dealer pay for the first two years depreciation in exchange for me paying £500 for a couple of services

Why did you need a service at 1250 miles? It's supposed to be "condition based" Mine is showing first service due at 18K miles (when the car will be 18 months old)

Indeed was just about to ask the same question..

mine has 3500 on the clock and showing 15000 to next service. Pre-reg car which came with service inclusive as part of the deal but nice to know how much I'm saving

mine has 3000 on the clock and shows next service in 11000 miles - does that mean I am heavy footed????

Mine is pre-registered, and I also have the free 5 years servicing, thank god...377 seems very expensive for such a light service imho...
