best place to install shocks/springs

K, I called up 2 places and both quoted me $400-$500 to install konis & springs + alignment. That's what most guys in the states charge to install coilovers.

Nway, if you guys can suggest a good place with reasonable pricing in T.O, pls let me know. Thanks.

Stance Factory....they will charge hourly

Shocks/Springs, shouldn't take more than 2.5-3 hrs. But then you should get alignment after 1 week at a different place.

At the end, should be ~$300

thanks Kol. One guy said they'd have to remove the back seat to install the shocks. That can't be true, right.

back seats do not need to be removed, just the pieces in the trunk. did you call RMP? even 300 sounds like a lot....

all the recos are great places...alternatively, you can do it yourself...you need some basic tools+spring compressor, I installed the koni+springs myself and then got alignment done for $60

So most of the places that are listed are good?

Any place to avoid?

Do I still need to do an alignment if I just change the springs? I have the XI and want to change with ZSP.

I called RPM, Bimmsport and Speedstar. It seems that Speedstar has the best price of the 3.

Stance factory - 380 with alignment - same cost just springs

RMP, Bimmersport - 240 no alignment, 200 for just springs

Do these places negotiate? haha

Strange, I was only asking for springs.

Speedstar was $190 and the others were like $240 or something like that.

Is alignment after springs mandatory? What would happen if you don't do it?
