using zaino with a random orbiter or portercable?
title says it all.....can zaino z-5 or z-2 be applied with a portercable or random orbiter with a foam pad? Would results be different vs applying by hand?

Yes, it works. I use a blue finessing pad to apply both Z2 and Z5. For years I only hand applied after reading that machine application was a waste of product and didn't provide any benefit. However, last summer I tried it anyway and was amazed that I actually used less product because I could apply it thinner (the thinner the better with Zaino. As if that wasn't enough, I was able to apply coats about twice as fast!
So, my current process is to do 2 coats with ZFX applied by machine followed by a single hand application. I do at least one hand application to make sure I don't miss some spots that the polisher has trouble getting to.

+1 and exactly my method as well. The only difference is I use a LC Gold pad but have used the blue finessing pad with just as good results. I too use even LESS product!
