Tyre Pressures on new NON-RUNFLATS
Good morning all
I have finally switched form the dreadful rock hard Bridgestones RF to Conti SC2 all round on the 645 'vert. Any ideas regarding if I should be running the same tyre pressure as before (BMW recommends 36 rear and 32 front on the door sills). Sorry this is not an E90 question but the 6 forum is so dead I spend most of my time lurking here. |

i think general opinion is to start with the BMW figures and then experiment.
Some have said that higher inflations stop the tyres wearing on the inners... I have mine inflated at the very lowest figure BMW suggests just to improve the ride... HTH |

made the change to nrft (cs3 contiseal) recently and after a bit of experimentation I felt happy with +4 at front compared to the recommended values for rft. Anything lower than that and the car rolled far too much going round corners - not nice at all...
Depending on load I up the rear pressures by +2 but for everyday driving I leave it at recommended |

I have a 330d convertible and changed to the conti tyres. I just used the same settings as for the RFTs and I have been happy with the ride. Just had a 335d coupe for a week on RFT and then back into my car, which is more GT cruiser with the conti's. To me that's perfect for a convertible. Can't think of any reason why I would fiddle with tyre pressures. So I suggest you start with the same pressure and only adjust if you really feel you need to.

I run the oem unloaded values.
Tyre wear is normal and very even so they seem about right. I drop a few psi when hot on a track.
