BMW, most people have no idea what iforged, DPE wheels are, I had to go to three wheel shops to find one that could even order these rims for me...

Roundels on non-BMW rims is kinda strange to me, however I understand the reasons why some want that look.

if I am spending that kind of dough on a forged wheel I would keep the original cap on, for reps or any other aftermarket cast wheel I would probably keep the roundel

Depends on the type of wheel. If it is some unknown generic brand like ACME, then by all means, the roundel. Otherwise, the manufacturer's center cap.
