WTB Used Mtech front bumper for e92
Hello all, Okay here goes the story, some a$$hole hit my car in a parking lot (and didnt stop to leave a note either) and so i have to get my car fixed in the upcoming week. After a little talk with the body shop, they are willing to install an Mtech bumper and paint that instead of my damaged one now. So I talked to Tischer and although he offers GREAT deals on the kit, Im trying to save a little money so I want to try to find the entire kit used (ie. mounting gear, fogs, vents, etc) for half the price. I do NOT want a replica, I want an OEM Mtech bumper. I have an appointment for Feb 14th to turn my car in so there is a deadline. Please help. I have include a pic, its hard to look at but I want to share my pain...... Jay |

There is a small scuff on the headlight and the insurance is going to pay for all of it. However the adjuster will only allow me to replace the bumper currently on it (OEM). The OEM bumper is 500 and the Mtech kit is 1000. That's 500 out of my pocket. I'm trying to cut down the cost of that considering I can get any bumper painted for free so paint condition on a used one doesn't matter.

Gunsekun,
Ya your right, 500 isn't horrible but considering I already have to pay 500 for the deductible I would rather not. I'm sure I'm like most of you on the forum trying to manage money during this difficult time. My credit cards have enough on them so I would prefer to save as much as possible. If I have to of course I will not pass up a opportunity to get an mtech painted for free, but im really hoping to buy a used one. |

Onesuperboi,
I don't want a replica because I think removing air vents for the oil cooler and brakes is a BAD idea. I'm sure some people would argue that it will be fine, but why save a few dollars when you know the OEM Mtech was designed for our cars. McMuffin, I just went through the Cali section. I couldnt find anything;( |

thanks utfenix,
My car goes into the shop on the 14th, so if I dont have one by then I have to break out the credit card and buy one new. I wish there was an Mtech fairy, I would give a tooth for one of these Disclaimer: Before any of you guys actually offer an Mtech for me to pull out a tooth.... actually that might be a hard choice.... I have dental insurance and im pretty sure my premium is less than a new Mtech.. Makes you think... |

ya, thats the m3 rep. **********s has great pricing on those and i could pick it up to avoid shipping, but it completely gets rid of the vents. I really dont want to go that route. I just cant help but think that bad things are going to happen when you tamper with the already very hot running oil system in the N54. What do you think?

Here's another option... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=488408
I always liked the look of the Aero Bumper. Yeah, I know what you mean. I rather go with OEM parts when it comes to engine (i'm including the bumper cover in this). You can't tempted fate with the N54 and the HPFP. |

Find a better shop to hook you up, it can be done with only your deductible.
also you dont need (unless you want it) the front plate bracket (which is like $70)
