Few Days to Decide: MW vs M Sport Pkg
My car is due to go into production the second week of Feb (next week) and I'm still on the fence about the color options on my car:
1. Mineral White with sport package 2. Alpine white with M-sport package The problem is I want MW with m-sport package. CA told me the only way to do this is to pay $5k for special paint. I thought about buying the the body kit after purchasing the car. It would cost me more in the long run. If I go with option 2, I would pay approximately $1k more (add m-sport delete mettalic paint). If I go with option 1, I will have to pay abour $2k more for aftermarket M-kit plus I don't get the nicer alum trim, steering wheel, and inside linner. Decision...decision...decision....what would you do? |

Mineral white is a really nice color. But if I was weighing out what is important to me, I think I would go with the AW with M Sport package. You can't go wrong! Your choice though! =)

You know, if your car is going into production next week, it's likely in 112 status. What color do you have on it right now? You may not be able to change! 3 Years ago when my car was in production, it was in 112 status, production hadn't started yet and they didn't allow the change, it was too late.

Yeah def. do that. Like I said, 3 years ago when I ordered, mine was in 112 status one week prior to it's production week and they wouldn't let my dealer change it.

MW IMO looks really really good in person . we have been selling a lot of the MW lately and jus something about it just grabs your attention. if your going for a more aggressive look go with M sport. Either way you decide you will be styl'n

Alpine White M-Sport hands down no questions asked.
I prefer Alpine White over Mineral White any day and when you add M-Sport to that there's no debate. |

AW + MSport FTW.
Adding the M-Sport kit afterwards is always much more expensive at the back end than from the factory. There are a few mineral white pics here, and I don't think it's that stunning, esp. next to Alpine white. I've never seen it in person, but AW just looks so crisp. Good luck with your choice. Worst case scenario, just go with your gut - whatever you initially ordered. |

Thank you for all your inputs. On my order right now is the MW with Sport pkg. I will call the CA to see if it is too late to change the options or not. I just wish BMW gives us more choices with options and colors.

I was kind of in the same boat a few months ago as you. I looked into buying the body kit for my first color choice but thought the cost was stupid compared to the m-sport cost, plus you don't get the other nice m-sport bits and pieces.
Alpine white is beautiful, I'd go with M-Sport Alpine White

I can't believe so many people like the MW...
I think it looks too much like a Lexus or Mercedes... |

I just think MW is "newer" color for the 3s and I think it might be easier to take care of than alphine white. The only other solid car I owned is a red audi and it was a bitch to keep it swirl free.
