3 Series Spec Level Update
While I'm on the forum, can somebody translate the 'old money' 2 Series Spec levels into the new system for me? It used to be ES/SE/M Sport, right?
Now there seem to be quite a few more spec levels - highline, Sport Plus, etc. Can somebody spell out for me how the new spec levels work? Or point me to where this has already been answered? Last edited by FieldingMellish; 01-31-2011 at 06:07 AM.. |

Hello stranger, hope you're well.
The ES, SE & M Sport models still stand as normal. Things like the Sport Plus, Editions & Highline are simply special editions. Probably because the E9X is coming to the end of its life cycle so they're trying to push the last lot out with extra gadgets e.g. pay an extra £600 for £2,000 extra options sort of thing (but based on the usual SE/M Sport cars). Is this OK or do you need to know what's included in them all??? Sport Plus is just things like smoked alloys & glass and fancy stiching on the seats. Editions tend to include Sat Nav & leather for a pretty small outlay (esp. Business Editions). Highline was similar.

Hi mate, hope you're well. Yes thats fine, all I needed to know. I've been out of touch with the whole BMW range and only back now because my daughter just bought a 1 Series. Of course, the urge to upgrade my car is always at the back of my mind somewhere.... |

See if this link works...
http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/pricesand...er&offerId=442 They call them specification upgrades simply based on the normal models. Highline was an older offering, on the coupe's I seem to recall, before the facelift one came along. Looks like the 'edition' is on the SE and 'sport plus' on the M Sport.

I have a 320D highline, the highline pack included: 19" 225m alloys, leather, metallic paint and bluetooth for something like £800 less usually those option add up to much more on the normal E92's
