E90 Newbie

Hi guys thought id join up here after lurking for a while.

Just picked myself up a E91 330D Msport in red (not sure what red its called will have to find out)

Its not my first BMW i had a steel grey Z4 on 19`s when i was 22-23, also had a Pheonix Yellow E46 M3 for a while when i was 24

oh and 5 subarus since i was 20 (2 were for racing at hillclimbs and sprints.)

theres quite a few other cars but there my main ones also currently have a 1979 88" series 3 Land rover for the winter (when i get it finished that is lol)

heres a few pics i have, none of the e91 yet once i have it detailed ill get them up.

This is scoob number 5 i sold to fund the e91.

My M3 i had had quite a few things done to it.

Scoob 4 that i sold to buy the M3

Focus st i got after M3 for some cheap motoring????? (M3 done 21mpg focus st done 17.5 mpg.)

My Z4 was great but needed the 3.0 instead of the 2.2.

the second scoob for the hillclimbing (after i blew the first one up chasing a TVR Sagaris round Knockers.)

if i find more pics ill add them.

Cheers Greig

Welcome Greig

Looks a fine collection of cars you have had there!

I have just purchased a Scooby myself as a track day car. Just finished fitting a roll cage and presently upgrading the brakes but suffering from the dreaded seized calipers lol

Hope you enjoy the new motor

Couple of pics of my 'new' bug eye

scoobynet is good for info on anything scoob related

go with a front mount or a well upgraded top mount the temps soar on track.

ah nice one bang a sti top mount on and a set of brembos and your laughing.

biggest pain is the fuel surge and subsequent cut.

anything near or under 1/2 tank does it on tight bends at tracks.

you ll have great fun in it though.

I did join Scoobynet and asked some advice on a Cusco Roll Cage but after 130 views got no response on the thread at all. Was quite disapointed really, although I did buy a cage in the end from a long term member on there (Squizz?) and he turned out to be a top bloke whose missus races a classic Impreza. You may know him/her?

The chap I had the cage off said to keep the tank brimmed because of the fuel issue when on-track.

I have been looking at the STi TMIC's - I guess they are just a straight swap out for my WRX one?

its a 2007 wrx STI type uk had a 3" exhaust system prob around 280bhp went very well,

The 2005 blue one in the pics had a good few bits on it and mapped by tracktive and was around 320-330.

Love my scoobs but with a dog and a baby due in june thought id calm it a bit so now getting more than double the mpg half the road tax and a smooth ride. am 26 now.

Top advice buddy - I was watching one on ebay so might see if it's still for sale

Yes, thats the chap, Karen is proper into her cars and I bought the cage that was in her Nippin race car. Got the rear of it fitted into the 'bug but the front bars are hitting the dash so it is being modified at the moment to fit

PS: Need some pics of the E91!! You gonna get her mapped?
