Question I want to keep my 08 335xi - Negotiating Help

This is a first, I am actually sad about my 335xi lease being due at the end of March. I would like to keep the machine because it has everything I have ever wanted in a car. I have leased VW, Acura, Audi, and I always wanted to trade them in early.

I would like to buy my car with a CPO. What is my best approach on this? Contact 3 dealers? The closest dealer is 100 miles away, do they need to inspect it to CPO it? I am the original owner. From what I have read, we can't work directly with BMWFS anymore. The residual is 31K, I have 42K miles on it (on 45K lease term).

I am hoping I can do 28K with CPO.

VIN is: WBAVD53528A009798 if anyone can help me with the number.

Thanks in advance!

Go for a new one ha I personally went from a 08 335xi sedan to a 2011 335xi sedan and I LOVE all the new features, iDrive updates & N55. As well as the newer look!

I would call the dealer and ask about specifics about CPO first and see what all needs to be done. I am pretty sure you have to take it in and have them fully inspect it to get it CPO. I remember thinking about extending the warranty on mine since there was so many problems it had 30,000 miles and they wanted $1500 or $1800 (forget exactly) to extend it 2 more years. I decided against it because car was very close to a lemon for a several different things and got a 2011 instead. I think you should do fine with 28-29k with CPO extended warranty.

Thanks N55. I am also thinking about turning it in for a 2011 335d. If I think about it, my mind goes into an infinite loop about all the pros and cons of sticking with what I have or going new.

Trust me you will eventually get sick of the one you have now and smack yourself for not going with the 2011. You are essentially getting the same car but more updated but i know how you feel

Goodluck with whatever you do can't go wrong either way! It's the Ultimate Driving Machine!

You probably can get another car with lower mileage for the same price. There is almost no negotiating, ask the dealer what they can do for you.

335d .. now THATS a compelling choice (since you are already driving an auto). I'd love one, but, sadly, no 6MT.

I second whomever said you'd find a better deal elsewhere, but you'd be buying someone else's used car, not your personal car that you knew how it was taken care of

I am negotiating a lease on a 335d, prem, sport, winter, nav, iPod, Harmon stereo, msrp is $55,500. Money factor is .00125 this month and 53% residual on a 36 month 15k lease. 7 msd brings the mf to .00076. Cap cost is $48,510.00. 0 down (excluding 7 security deposits) equals a payment of $620/month plus tax of 8.5% for total of $671/month

Any comments on is lease deal?
