Auto Trans and Extreme Heat
Hey all,
This is my first thread on here, and I have a question. I'm considering an E92, but like many things, I'm not sure which transmission I want. This is not the nature of this thread though. The auto is made by ZF, which from my understanding is the same (or similar enough) transmission that is in the Range Rover Sport and the Aston Martin DB9. When Car and Driver tested the DB9 against other exotics in the desert, they noted that after some extreme driving, the transmission would stop selecting gears. Possibly due to a poor transmission cooler or lack of (can't remember for sure). Has anyone experienced this with the ZF box in the E92, or have heard of such a thing? Or not an issue at all (i.e., they worked out the bugs)? Thank you all. |

No problems; and you live in Ohio, not the Sahara.
