In the body shop for a month already?!

So I ordered a manual 335i xdrive the November 29th and a week later it was scheduled for production. Next week I got the call it was in the body shop with an estimated completion date of Feb 2?! I called the dealer and he said "don't call that 800 number or visit bmwusa.com anymore. They are never accurate and you are on schedule to have the car delivered in 5 weeks."

On that note, I put my MINI on ebay and sold it in less than a week. Thought it would take at least a month to sell...who would have thought someone would want a MINI Cooper in the middle of winter?! Guess who had to call mom and dad and beg them to borrow a car? It went like this, "It will only be for a month..."

I check EVERYDAY, religiously at 9 am. The car still says it is in production with an est. completion date of Feb 2. Could the website and 800number be wrong or do I need to head up to the dealership and lay the smack down on my dealer? I am totally confused. Most forums have people stating production lasts 1 week. Looks like I could not get my car until March...

Anyone else heard of this problem? This little lady is anxious and carless...

I ordered my car on Dec 3rd. I take delivery next week. Seems like a long time for your car to be in production. Although if you search, there are some threads about BMW factory closings in December. Not sure if that the case with your car. Your CA is your best source for accurate tracking through the process. Good luck

2004 all black mini Cooper s. It had everything but the JCW. I threw in some blizzaks mounted on steel wheels...which they seemed to appreciate come winter storm.
