how would xi handle vs reg 335 vs sport?

test drove a sedan 335 non sport and honestly didn't like it so much felt a little rolly compared to s4. sport was great.

been thinking of waiting for xi or 535xi but now a little concerned handling might be a little too soft. then see some threads about xi suspension being higher and steel vs alum and I got confused.

also, realize maybe if they do the coupe as xi it may have sport susp b/c all current coupes do.

anyway, point is. anyone with an xi if anyone tested it against sport/non sporty susp how does it measure up?

hope that made some type of sense.

thnx.

XI's do not have the sport tuned suspension. Period.

Many people describe the xi's suspension as in between the i's regular suspension and the zsp suspension. Personally, I didn't notice a significant difference between the regular i and xi suspensions, but the sport was noticeably stiffer. I'd suggest driving them, but I would also suspect you'd prefer the zsp to the xi suspension.

The xi models ARE available with ZSP, but the suspension is not the same as a non-xi ZSP is.

Our 325xiT feels like a slightly stiffer yet smoother ride than the 325i, but comaring the sedan to the wagon is not a direct comparison obviously because of the body difference.

Its in between. Still too soft IMHO. Once you try sport, nothing else seems to make the cut. If you like a firm suspension, that is. And it sounds like you do.

Go test drive a 328xi to see if you like it. If not, then go with sport and get a nice set of snows. Or if you live in the mountains and really, realy need AWD, then the S4 might be the better choice (also with snows of course).

Edit: I just notice you are in "fl". Florida? Forget AWD, man. Go with ZSP.
