Service Question
My screen washers went on me about 8 months ago, they just stopped working - common fault on e90's apparently. Anyway the car was under warranty and the dealer fixed it - no probs. However, the bastard thing has gone again and the car is now outside of warranty.
My question is - is the job which the dealer done guaranteed for a certain period of time i.e 12 months and therefore would I be able to go bak to them and have a moan up ? |

I think you should deffo be able to go back to the dealer and have a moan because as you've suggested, even tho the car is out of warranty you must get a 12 month guarantee on the work that they've done!?

Most likely the screenwasher pump is damaged/burnt out and it is a pain to replace but only costs around £15 for the part!
Take it to the dealer and say its been under a year (if it has) and they should rectify it. That is assuming the part was changed to start with. Hope you get it sorted. There is a "How To" on the forum, I tried it but it was a pain to remove the wheelarch liner. In the end an indi did it for me. |

Any jobs completed under Warranty are warranted until said warranty expires - whether thats on the last day or first. This does not apply to retail chargeable work, for which you have paid, and is therefore warranted [usually] for 2 years/unlimited miles.
