New owner comin...brookly ny.
Whats going on,
I'm going down this friday to look at a 335i...most likely sedan, because I have 06 g35 coupe 6mt currently and I'm gettin a little tired of a coupe when i wanna go out and can barely fit 4 people in my car. Besides the obvious, and big differences between the coupe and sedan that i should know about as far as speed, handeling etc. Its pretty possible I might be gettin a.....im embarresed to even say, an auto with paddle shifters ...I dont think I really want a stick no more cuz it just makes me wanna constantly boogie, though I;m sure id do the same in an auto. How big is the speed difference between the auto and 6 speed. I knwo on the g35 its really not that big at all. -Rocco |

the coupe and sedan handle relatively the same, the nitty gritty specs say that the coupe has a slightly stiffer body, but that the sedan is faster than the coupe. ur gonna love either one. and then some say the auto actually accels faster in the long run.

Brooklyn in the house!!! Welcome brother! Dude whatever you do, don't go to Life Quality in Bay Ridge, total ripoff!!!! If you are willing to take the drive, I got an awesome guy that I'm getting mine from, in Newton, NJ (70 Miles from Brooklyn, but he gives awesome prices). His name is Walter Schiebner @ Bell BMW number is 973-579-2600 tell him Dmitriy sent you.
I would say looks wise, the coupe beats the sedan for sure. But its just not for me, I like having a back seat, should the need arise Where are you in brooklyn btw? I'm in Mill Basin. -Dmitriy |

I was first considering the 07 g35 sedan or holding for the 08 coupe, but if i got the sedan it would ONLY be an S and no way an X model just because of looks and a few other things such as seats padle shifters etc. Ive never owned a beemer before and im not to familiar with there packages so maybe someone can fill me as far as the XI's go in terms of looks and equipment, because if the difference is that big, i wont get the Xi as well. BTW im from gravezend but i live in bensonhurst now. But youll never find me in bensonhurst lol. -Rocco |

Brooklyn in the House...
I have the sedan now, its great, although I am starting to see them around quite a bit, I still have yet to see a coupe on the road around here. Sedan definitely is the more convenient choice though for carrying people and stuff; I also find that, aestetically, it looks good on the stock sport suspension, coupe needs a drop. Of course, we have the worst roads possible, so the higher the car, the better off. I live not to far from the Manhattan Bridge; I cruise up to Wide World of Cars in NY (about an hour drive north) for BMW dealings; I cant stand LI $$stealerships$$ |

Don't be embarrassed! The Sedan looks sooooooo much better than the Coupe (IMO) and there's nothing to be embarrassed about having A/T. You won't loose your manhood, really!

previous e90 owners are always saying this. OP, if you want an object opinion, ask someone who has had both options available to them in front of their eyes. I went with the e92

I am a stick driver through and through so I will not recommend then auto but the auto just about the same speed as the stick. Best of luck with the new car.

Some people just like the way the e90 looks better, regardless if they have one already or not.

not many e92s around bklyn, i've only seen a handful. to the OP, i've had the e90, it's not all that roomier than the coupe. it's just got 2 extra doors for easier access. but compared the e92 to the g35 coupe, the e92 is much much more roomier in the back. it seats 2 adults, and the g35 coupe could only seat lil kids. i've never driven a bimmer w/ a/t, but in nyc it could be pretty stress relieving. |

No where in my post did I suggest that he not be objective. What I think he should do is buy the car he wants. Sedan, Coupe, A/T, M/T, whatever! After all, does it really matter what you, me, or anyone else thinks he should buy? I was also suggesting he not get his testosterone up over not choosing a M/T. Reminding him that you can still be a "real man" and drive an A/T. HE was the one that implied he was "embarrassed" about that possible choice, not me. And I'm not a previous E90 owner, I'm a current E90 owner. And have had all options available to me, right in front of my eyes. (And still do!) Myself I'd get the 335i Sedan with the Steptronic if I was going to buy now. But that's just me. Peace!
