Pricing question - over invoice or under MSRP?

What's everyone been paying either over invoice or under MSRP?

I've been seeing a couple posts about paying full MSRP or only a few hundred less than MSRP...how many months do you think it will be until the dealers will stop demanding near MSRP???

When I first test drove the 35i when it first came into the dealership, the CA told me they wouldn't be negociating on price for at least 4-6 months. I'm going to go in probably later today to have another look at the X3 and see if they've changed their story yet on the MSRP.

Just went on the Amex site. Seems really easy but here is my question:

My local dealer (and the only one within 50 miles or so) didn't come up on the list that Amex provided. Does that mean it doesn't participate in the program?

When negotiating, should I simply print and bring it in and say, "if you can match this price then..."

Curious...

Thanks in advance.

i have no idea if my dealer is on the list or not
i told him i can get this price from AMEX, whether from him or any other dealer, he knows the price is doable.
he said i'll match it,
worst case, find out which is the closest dealer that is on the list, and tell the guy i can get this price from....

if he agrees then its a done deal, if not i'd call the closest amex dealer and get the price from him.
