Oh Man!

I get into the car thus morning and start setting up the tunes for the drive by plugging in the aux cable. While doing so, I registered hearing the seatbelt assist arm catch then drop the seatbelt.

This happens 1 in 10 times, so I continue setting up a music app to test out on my phone.

Like a goldfish, I forgot that the seatbelt arm just dropped the seatbelt 15 seconds prior. As I instinctively reach back to grab the seatbelt, I pull it fast and the extended arm catches my finger.

I hear a loud snapping noise and can see that I hyper extended the arm. I watch it retract and noticed it didn't go in. I pushed it hard to go all the way back in with my hand.

Think that I did some serious damage?

Happens a lot. The last time it happened to me a few days ago and while it was extended I messed with the end of the arm and fixed it somehow, it then retracted in all the way. Something gets out of place and you have to reposition it while the arm is extended, sorry I didn't pay attention enough to know exactly what it was. I used to shove it in as well and it would just mess up again a week or two later.

Just push it back in. It will snap back in place no problem.

Passenger one never catches the seat belt. Dealer replaced it free no questions asked.
