I have a 2011 335is. For the last several days, i have been noticing that when i turn on the heat (it's winter here), the console between the driver's seat and the front passenger's seat heats up (the console where the gearshift and the iControl sit). The console heats up more on the driver's side than on the passenger's side. I have been told by BMW service here that the heat duct runs under the console to the back and that it's totally normal. The question is if it's normal, why is it heating up only now and not in the past two months when i have turned the heat on? Have you faced this issue on your 335is?

Try turning the temp dial on the rear seat console control to the cool position.

Do they have the switch in the console to heat or cool cans in the console like the pre-lci models? Maybe you bumped it and turned it on.
