BMW 2011 E90 DETAILS? INPUT on package selection?
So today i decided to pay a visit to a near by Dealership. I went in talked to the salesman briefly about what I want. 335i sedan M sport package with little details here&there. Ended up test driving a premiumand sport packaged 335i. LOVE IT. fun to drive sport mode is amazing paddle shifters are not dinky looking. Great car. So he refused to give me numbers on financing, or lease.. which was very weird. the msrp came out to be 49,850 of the build I want. Carsdirect net price is 44,xxx. and so I am looking a long those lines.. Anyone have experience on price knocking or negotiating with those douchebag bmw sales people? or any buyers experienced with carsdirect.com?

i bought by using USAA negotiated pricing...then went from there (by shopping dealers). its based on Zag.com...which is also offered through american express.
I paid less than invoice. go to truecar and price your car with the options you want and it will give you a bell curve of prices paid nationwide...mine was pretty far to the left....so I gotta recommend it to others. |

I ordered a 2011 E90 335i with similar options and list price in late July. Delivered late August.
I paid dealer invoice at that time. But the only way I could get a deal like that was by speaking with 3 different dealers. Some are more eager than others... |

M Sport just changes the look of the car, not the performance, so just make your decision based on if you want to pay 1k for that look or not.

I'd also add that iDrive is particularly nice on these newer models. I can't stress enough that selecting options/packages is about what YOU want. If I had to choose it would be the following:
Sport Package Premium Package Navigation Comfort Access Harmon/Kardon Sound iPod Sirius (if you like satellite) I will say there's been a few complaints on the auto high beams, probably would stay away from that.

So typically without the harmon/kardon sound the stereo is crappy? Just curious since I've heard the basic stereo is garbage.. I have a maxima with Bose... I don't want to feel like I am downgrading..

I just got a 2011 in august and have the premium, cold, and sport packages and love all the features. I-drive was a must for me. Also had harmon kardon system for $53K with some other stuff that I forget, but it was fully loaded, I think the only thing it didnt have was that active cruise control, m-sport and convenience package. MSRP was $55k and they gave me what I paid for my 08 335xi trade in that I bought from them a year before, due to some negotiations with BMW NA and some lemon law reading.

Sure hope you pulled the trigger to get approved by BMW financial by 1/3 to take advantage of the $1500 holiday credit.
Either way, I recommend you go to another dealer who is willing to treat you with respect. |

So next day drove 45 min away to Bobby Rahal BMW, and as soon as i walk towards the cars, I get greeted and, he explained where everything was, how the cars were organized, and If i was hungry or thirsty help myself to their lounge. That got me sold right away. I was only 17 and they had no problem for a test drive just asked for a peek at my license and we were on our way, he didn't even have the license for 2 seconds lol. So I test drove the one I wanted and It was a 2008 335xi sedan with premium package, iDrive and some others with 12k on the odo for $36,000. I closed the deal and was on my way. I was invited many times for new model exploring and test driving, as well as bobby rahal events and etc. Also everyone there knows who i am when I go there and when I call. Recently I just got a 2011 335xi sedan fully loaded and the service was even more exceptional!!! Funny thing is i parked at the first dealer several times for the SA to notice me during both purchases hahah he did stare like Goodluck! |

Get as many options as you can afford... There's times when I kick myself for not getting CWP, just because I wanted to save a little. The next one, I am doing it right, not skimping on anything.

The anthracite headliner totally makes the Msport pack worth it...along with body kit.

If you like the looks that the M Sport gives you, absolutely pick it because adding the same upgrades later yourself will cost you much much more. M Sport is really great value for money if you like everything it offers. Personally I think the M sport front bumper alone is worth it on the E90/Sedan and looks loads better than stock.

My wife's 1999 Honda stereo was on par with the 2010 standard 3 series radios we test drove. She never liked that Honda set-up from day one. We bought a 2011 3 series with HK,....we did this without being able to listen to one at the time because the dealers we visited had none on the lot. My advice is for you to see if the dealer has a HK for you to listen to, I am sure you will see for yourself. |
