question about center console cup holder thing

can that cup/can holder heat drinks such as coffee, or does it only keep drinks cool when that switch is turned on?

It can heat or cool. Adjust the thumb wheel in the rear of the console (hot/cold), and it adjusts the air blowing out of those rear passenger vents as well as the air blowing through the cup holder.

I don't know if I'd say it can "heat" the drink, but it can keep it warmer longer.
