I arranged to purchase a rep mtech rear bumper tonight. I was old the bumper was in great condition and had perfect fitment. Well i met the guy and look at the bumper and it look good but it was wrapped so i put it in my truck and drove off. When i got home i inspected the bumper in the light and realized there were holes and chips in the corners. So I called the guy up and said I'm bringing the bumper to your house can i have my money back. He gave me some bs story and basically wont meet me to give me my money back. Should i suck it up and move on or try to pursue this further??

You definitely should have examined it closely, especially if it was wrapped up I would be suspect. Who's the scumbag seller?

The picture is huge and zoomed in so I'm not sure what I'm looking at, but the bumper is white so you need to have it painted anyway. I'm sure a good body shop will make it look perfect, give MAC a call.

I definitely should have taken a closer look and realized it was cheap FRP right away but i was being dumb and rushing so i didn't check unfortunately..

As to who this sbag is.. I Tried to purchase the bumper though ebay, it was a set front and rear. The ebay seller told me he had a previous buyer who was trying to offload the rear in NY and gave me his info. The rest is history...

He said he is a forum member.. His name is Tom and lives in Queens and drives an alpine white 335i...

I called the eBay seller and he told me this guy was VERY unhappy with the bumper and complained about the quality and fitment, but he told me the fitment was dead on...

Thanks, but i called the dude 45 mins after the transaction and offered to return the bumper for a refund and he told me he already deposited the money into his atm. Then I said no worries ill drive you to your ATM and he then said my daughter is sleeping. He then said ill be sorry if i get him mad and then I lost it bc i would kill this scammer with my hands tied behind my back.. he then hung up the phone.

Fair enough but can you please agree that Tom was unhappy with the bumper and wanted a refund bc he was very unsatisfied with the fitment and quality. All i'm trying to prove is that he misled me when he said the bumper was in good condition and was "dead on" and lied when he told me the reason he was selling was to pay medical bills... Anyway, the bumper are still on primer, so those scratches will be gone after painting. Also, primed FRP bumper still need to be fitted, smoothed, and then painted.
As far as the crack, I don't know how did you and Tom deal business, but you should have inspected them correctly before you close the deal. I was not there so I don't really know what is exactly happening. What I know is, I sent to Tom the correct parts which doesn't have any issues and it is the same item as you saw on my listing.

I agree that he complained to me on those, but he didn't provide me with any pictures. But, he could have said that just trying to get the money back. In my believe and based on the few sets that I've sold, I never had such issues.

Well we spoke thi morning and it looks like he is going to issue me a refund at 5 o'clock today. So as of now it looks like he is doing the right thing and is not a scammer. ill update this post later today...
