If you want a cramped 2-seater costing more than the 335i, go for the TTS.

I guess the TTS isn't too bad. If you're blind.

TTS if you want a rebadged VW.
And I'm not blindly hating on Audi. That one really is a rebadged VW.

if you want a SLOWER CAR that is less explosive and MORE EXPENSIVE, LESS PRACTICAL AND LESS COMFORTABLE CAR as your DD, then go for TTS.
only thing going for tts, in all fairness, is the handling, but for LOT MORE MONEY. I also like audis (if bmw did not exist i'll get one) but tts is not a good choice over 335i |

Drove the TTS, really liked it. Came very close to getting one. Much different than my 335 both the way it drove and the interior/exterior but a very nice car.

While I love my e90, it's not fair to say the TT-0S is slower. I've never driven it, but published results say it's faster than a 335i. Here's a couple links: http://www.fastestlaps.com/tracks/hockenheim_short.html Look at entry 141 and 177 \http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58802 Not the original C+D source but a compilation. Much slower here. OP needs to drive it to see if it works for himself. Most Audis abd BMW's are good cars. Enjoy them all.

911 is a rebadged Jetta? Being awd the TTS would be WAY faster on a track than rwd 335 for most people. Very different cars. Once again........drive them both and decide. This forum has proved time and time again to be NO place for objective opinion. Have an open mind. |

I digress, still I don't believe that I was a 'fan boy' for stating a fact about the TTS and it's relation to VW. I did not say that all Audi's are rebadged VW's. In any case, I apologize if I've ruffled your feathers. I'm not looking to do that.

Back on topic though, the two cars are difficult to compare directly but despite what people would have you believe the TTS is a VERY capable sports car. While the 335 is a VERY capable sports sedan/coupe. If you need an automatic for whatever reason the TTS beats the BMW hands down with its dsg. There's also the over saturation of 335's (and bmw's in general) that may or may not have weight on your decision. The 335's ride it more compliant and its cabin is less claustrophobic on long trips . The Audi's cabin is of higher quality though. Botom line, if you're looking for sports car thrills and looks the 335 will eventually feel lacking. Although as a car to live with you may find the TTS perhaps asks for too much in return. |

TTS is a very nice car, but asking the opinion of people on these forums is pointless. 90% of the people on this forum have probably never driven a TTS and probably never will. The opinions you will get will stem from either brand loyalty or documentation found on the internet. The decision is solely yours based on price, performance and other personal issues. I've always been a fan of Audi/VW and think they make fantastic cars. Having owned a VW and my best friend owning an Audi I can tell you they aren't on the level of a BMW. I've driven countless numbers of Audi vehicles and BMW vehicles and I would choose a BMW every time. While the S line of Audi is very fantastic and very gorgeous, in my opinion they just don't match up to the M line of BMW. Once again that's just MY opinion, for what's it's worth, which could be nothing. Either way the TTS is a gorgeous car but a little too tiny for my taste, the same with the Z. I think you would be much happier with a 335i, but again it's YOUR decision. Choose wisely!!!

Hey it could be worse. I play GT5 and post a lot on gtplanet - Over in that Bizarro world I get "infractions" for grammar in my posts. LMAO the kid that sent the last one even miss spelled infraction. Anyway back to the OP questions, Having owned a 335 for awhile now, it may be I just got a lemon, but mine has been in the shop so much the SA knows my voice when I call and we are on a "hows it going dude" kind of relationship. Pathetic for a car in this price range. If the Audi is even half more reliable I'll be looking at them as well next time around. I have also read they drive very well but the older TTs are dogs. |
