Why is there a $30k buy it now on this car? Is that a joke, or did I just spend $18k too much?

Too many inconsistancies in that listing. Listed as an auto tranny than says it's a 6MT..also lists it as having 4 wheel drive.
Let the buyer beware.

Well, I don't want to buy it, I just thought that was really weird. It looks like the guy has been building up feedback over the last couple months by buying lots of $5 plastic figurines.

i say someone in fort worth FL go pay him a visit. if its for real buy it and sell it again and if its fake then get some other larger members to go with you and tell this guy why its wrong to scam people

Could be a hijacked account. I report a couple a week, usually selling Hayabusas or other sports bikes, EVOs and STIs for ridiculous prices..

That way, the seller seems to have good feedback.

I think there's a pretty good chance that's a legitimate auction. It says you can pay cash / cashiers check in person. There are pictures of the car. The seller has a high quantity of feedbacks and has been a member since 2004.

Yes, they've been buying cheap little figurines, but so what? That would have to be a REALLY elaborate ploy - join eBay and buy 400+ $5 (about $4000 after shipping) figurines over 2+ years to try to trick somebody.

The seller just may not know how much the car is worth. We bought a year old Honda Civic about 10 years ago WAY under value. The seller had taken it to the dealer to try to sell it back after getting a company car, the dealer made a low-ball offer, and the seller decided to list the car for just a little more than the price the dealer offered. We bought it. The seller felt good that she sold it for more than the dealer offered, and we felt good that we bought a car for well under true market value.

I think somebody with $30K that wants a coupe should go check it out. If you get there and the car's no good, don't hand over the check.

... thats about a used 06 e90 325i ZSP price.

.... looked at his feedback and seems like it all $5-10 ifigurines tems and now suddenly moving into big ticket items. I'd put a flag on this seller/auction

yeah, awhile ago it ended, now its listed and open to preapprove bidders only. hmmm

But my interest is piqued because it has the cassette player and "sarellite" radio.
