New to me CPO 328Xi mileage question

I picked up a 36K mile 08 328Xi a couple of weeks ago. I imagine during the inspection process that they may have done SW updates and essentially zeroed the contents of the onboard engine management system. About a week later they had real problems coding the alarm and I'm positive that they zeroed everything again.

Yesterday I took a 350 mile trip during a light snowstorm average speed 54 mph driven very gingerly fuel economy 23.5 MPG based on Fuel consumed and reported 24.1 by the onboard computer. I know 1 tank is not nearly enough to determine real mileage. Would that fact that the fuel maps etc have been cleared out be the cause for low mpg initially?

23/24 is pretty good for an xi in inclement conditions. What were you expecting?

According to fueleconomy.gov, your range is

City 17
Combined 20
Hwy 25

I have the same car. 24 MPG is excellent. I get about 20.

Yeah, that's about what you should be getting. My 328xi with 37K miles gets a bit under 20 in city driving and about 27 with pure highway driving (60-80MPH).
