My 330i weighs 4,504 pounds!?!?

Ummmm, I thought the 330i weighed 3,500 pounds. No way 1,000 pounds was added from the options I got. The sticker on the driver door jam clearly says my car's total weight is 4,504 lbs. I figured it wasn't pounds and was in some kind of other weight category but I stared at the sticker for a few minutes and it indeed says what I first thought it did. How could this be possible? I'm going to head out to drop something off at FedEx in a bit and I'll snap a picture then. If this is true it means my car weighs almost as much as a Hummer.

hahaha that is your GVWR. not the weight of the car. it stands for gross vehicle weight rating and i believe it means that is the total weight that the car, incl. it's own weight, can support.

Ah hah. Thanks for clearing that up. Anywhere on the car does it state exactly what my car weighs? Also, if it weighs 3,500 pounds that only leaves 1,000 extra pounds that the car can carry. What happens when you exceed that, say when a giant couple at 400-pounds a piece get into the back seat and you've got 100 pounds load in the trunk plus your own weight.

Don't worry, I'm pretty sure you couldn't squeeze 800 lbs of people into the back seat.
