19" wheels vs. OEM Aero Kit...
hey peeps,
my car is built and ready to pick up, but i'm not taking delivery until 4th march for a number of reasons... anyway... i still have the option of the aero kit before i pick it up, so, do you reckon its a worthwhile tradeoff dropping my 19s to 18s and sticking the aero on? i may even just pay the extra and just go for the aero front but worried it will not balance visually with a standard rear... what dya think? the alternate argument to this of course is the fact that it will be a smoother ride and cheaper tires on the 18s, which i think are also very nice wheels... |

Yup, you could always get 19s later on, Id get the aero now.

I'd go with the wheels. Either 18's or 19's. Get something nice that compliments the lines of the car.
The OEM Aero kit front is eh... alright, and the rear is

The aero front lip is really nice, not alright. You can always get 19's later on and keep the 18's for winter.

ok...
(pics all robbed from other places on this forum...) pretty much what my car will look like (minus my red interior ): with the red interior like mine but on 18s: on 18s and with the aero front: havn't got a pic of 19s with the aero front... havn't made my mind up about the aero rear yet... you know what, the more i look, i might even be starting to prefer the 18s over the 19s... what do people on here reckon to the 18s vs 19s argument? |

personally, i think the style of the 18s goes better with the more agressive kitted style, whereas the 19s are more stylish business looking, do you agree?
first thing tommorrow, i think i'm gonna go with switching the 19s down to the 18s and adding the aero (minus the horrible spoiler) kit... |

imo 19" wheels add way more visual impact and coolness than the aero kit. Plus, 19" wheels and tires are going to cost you way more later than the body kit (I would think-correct me if I'm wrong). If it were my car I would go for the 19s

well... heres the story...
the dealer wont let me downgrade to the 18s due to the fact that bmw have already invoiced the dealership... so i'm stuck with the 19s... so i can't really get the aero front now like i wanted ... but i bought it anyway so now i'm getting: • E92 335d SE • Front Aero • 19" Star 230 rims • Sparkling Graphite • Red Dakota leather / Dark Grey Poplar interior • Pro SatNav + Bluetooth • Folding Mirrors i must be mad i'm still 50:50 on the wheels tho in my personal opinion, do you really reckon the 19s look better in the flesh (metal)? |

I have been told that you should install them in the warmer weather so that the adhesive holds. |

I may be biased, but I think that the 19 inch wheels for this car really "make" the car. They are the perfect size for the car, and I realy like the style. They are literally a "twist" on the traditional 5-star wheel.

I spoke with AMI motorsports (they are in Canada I am in NYC). The Rieger rear deck spoiler will be $360 USD and will be available in April.... I would def go with that spoiler over the stock....I can't wait until april |

I like the look of the 19s - wish I had them. I don't think there is much difference between the aero and std front. I think you did OK out of this
