Since I wasn't getting any responses in the New Car Ordering & Tracking Forum, I'll try my luck here.
Does this sound right?
I ordered my E92 on 1/18/07 and this was a vehicle that was allocated to my dealer. It is scheduled for production the last week of February. I don't have a production # yet. Is is normal not to have a production number 3 weeks before production is scheduled to begin?

relax budddy... if your that nervous, why not phone your dealer?? Don't be too scared to bother them...they don't seem to flinch when taking your money!!!

I spoke to them today and because of this lack of info, I made this post!

It will come. I would expect to get it soon though.

Borderline normal. It's typically released at the end of the previous month, so they should have received their allocation last week and had Prod #s too.

But you should definitely be receiving it soon.

That's bullshit. I called my dealer in the beginning of January and he was surprised I still hadn't received it either. So he got to work and emailed me the following monday with my prod. #.

They can find it, they just have to talk to the right people.

I had my production number about 1 hour after I placed my order with my CA. Have you talked to your CA and asked for the production number?

Don't let the dealer "shame" you into not calling. Mine has tried. "Hey, its just a 335 coupe, relax--I am trying to customize a bulletproof 7-series so you're going to have to wait."
Call the dealer until you are satisfied.

Did your CA really say that? I would have said, cancel my order. It's just a 335 coupe, so you won't miss the sale... asshole.

I would have been at his desk before he even realized the phone call was over! He and his manager would be begging me to take gifts to be quiet and leave!

That is exactly what I did--nix'd that one and had another ordered before the end of the same day for a better deal.
