Snow tires in Richmond
As a soon-to-be BMW newbie, do I need to plan on getting a set of snow tires? I'm getting the standard all-seasons (not the 'hockey pucks' as the sport package performance tires seem to be called) - should that be good enough here? I need to be mobile for the occaisional big dumps we get here. The county is pretty good at getting my neighborhood streets plowed, but I do need to traverse a couple of decent hills to get out to the main roads.
For those who did get snows, what should I expect to pay for a set, including wheels? |

I don't have them--it snows only once or twice a year, and it's usually melted in a few hours.
Edit: I've had the car since 6/05, so I've already experienced a full winter with the car.
