Cool.. I was waiting for this. Great tip!

Yeah right... 0.3 on the 1/4, my ass. Not that .3 is a bad gain gfor $1300, but I KNOW that this car will do better on ths mod. I know, the review car is a ringer, but still. I really don't think that ths does it justice by any means. I'm also not very comfy with Edmunds doing a review of a mod that may well be on the BMW balcklist as a result, but pay to play. I at least wish they'd done it justice if they outed it in such a high profile way. The driveability points are where I expect XEDE to really shine, and good that they nailed that aspect without just concentrating on drag times, but I still expect my pretty fat girl to run faster when she sees dinner at the end of the strip! Good to see that the traps dont gel with the times, but still sad to see that the performance obviously wasn't sowwn here. Ditch those RTF's for god's sake. Not that they arent good RTF's, but put some rear rubber on the wheels before you do a review like this. I Imagine Shiv's RTF's arent spring chickens at this point either (11k haaaard miles, has he swapped tires?). This review should be the tip of the iceburg, but not exactly XEDE's best side for a portrait.

funny you say that, i was at a bmw dealer last night here in dallas texas ( classic bmw) to look at the 335. The salesman said " there are aftermarket tuners that can make this thing eat 911's all day long"

i looked at him incrediously and said " oh yeah? Like who"

he said . " i dont know the name off hand but its a tuner who starts with the letter V"

i asked him where he had heard about it and apparently salesman attend some sort of national training thing or something like that, and it was the big buzz there

They know about it...lots of auto manufacturers peruse the car forums. I personally know the RS4/S4 product manager at Audi of America does. He is a friend of mine.

This is my favorite line...

"No door decal, no windshield banner, no lower suspension and no aftermarket wheels — the Vishnu 335i is a tuner car for adults."

Gonna have to think of getting a 335i now

but WTF is going on? only .3 of a seconds faster than a autp coupe they tested down the strip. my guess a manual is faster than the auto down the strip so what is the xede really making 0.2 faster down the strip and only .2 to sixty faster which might really be 0.1 cuz it manual?

i kno its hard to get traction but if im not mistaken this is not only the xede but with the exhaust system aswell which shiv himself did 13.1 sec down the strip with but edmunds doing the best at 13.0

this magic horsepower is becoming too good to be true... to get under 13 u need 1300 for xede, exhaust =$$ at least antoher grand, new wider, more girp tiores all aorund which might go for at least 1200 just for tires... wow

not flamming just wanna get some facts down and some opinions.

Keep in mind..the lower you go in 0-60 the harder it is to shave off time.

Ex. .3 difference in 0-60 time of 11.5 vs 11.2 isn't as big a deal as 5.3 vs 5.0.

Man i'm looking to do that upgrade to my car this summer... Although i have the money now, i want to read more on it because i want to hear the exhaust. I'm not a big fan of noise, i LOVE the way my car sounds now stock. I'll read more and def look into buying his product. Hear nothing but good things about it. And with the upcomming competition of the new g35's... Would love to see their faces after a loss = )

Great Article

Hats off to Mr. Pathak. I can't imagine getting a better review without the big bucks of a GM or Toyota.

Years from now, instead of explaining to our grand kids about the Hoffmeister Knik, we can brag about the Vishnu Kick.

Traction issue......but.......

I wonder what a 335xi coupe/sedan would be able to do? They keep saying in article traction,....More traction no doubt with AWD...

Who will be the first with an AWD 335i plus Vishnu?....... the clock is ticking once the xi's come out...

Shiv should stick some nice wide tires on that thing and show off the low 4 0-60 times. I'd guess somewhere below 300 should be good. Extending on what they said about the tires, a stock 335i can light up the tires at will from what people here have said, I can only imagine what a PROcede one can do. Power means nothing if you can't put it to the road.
