Comfort Access yes or no?

Title says it all, I am debating whether to add this option or not. Will I regret it later if I do not get comfort access?

You will regret not getting comfort access....it is convenient and has the "wow" factor!

Adds to the luxuriousness of the car IMO, it's cool, and very convenient. Just make sure you research it so you don't come back later and say "OMG I spent $500 and this doesn't auto-lock when I walk away from the car!" and so on

And you gotta cos this gets asked every month

I guarantee all of the people who voted no don't have CA. It's that good.

To answer your question "... will I regret it if I don't get it..."?

No you won't regret it. You'll simply have no idea how nice it is & just assume that your not missing out on anything.

I bought a coupe off the lot that had CA -- in hindsight I'm very happy the car came that way. Its not something I would have considered. Definitely get it. All of my future cars will have CA & Bluetooth. BMW should really make these both standard features -- but until they do, it really is worth the price (in my opinion).

I love CA. I think if I didn't have this option I would find the Start/Stop button really annoying.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, looks like it is overwhelming in favor of getting CA.

Yes, I would get it.
Mainly because I know that it is available in the Lexus IS and I would feel like crap around my friend that has an IS with that feature.
I know, i'm vain.

I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with an IS but I'm sure you guys or gals know what I mean.

Wow. $50K was steep for a loaded 3-series, but the $500 for CA was like a reacharound while getting buggered in jail. Very inexpensive for the overall impact of the option. Next to the Sport package, it's the biggest bang for the buck. I appreciate it daily. It's one of those options you can't go back from once you get used to using.

CA is the best thing since bottled beer. (German beer of course)

It is $500 well spent IMO.

Simply because you now have the ability to start your car without the key fob inserted? Hehe, this is simply BMW siphoning more money from your wallet with silly tech that gives instant gratification to those willing to pay for it. CA has absolutely no impact on the car whatsoever. I thought fellow BMW drivers were more about the pure driving joy, guess some are too comatose to even bother having to turn their own car on.

But I'm sure either way you decide to go with it, you won't look back and regret it.

So what are we supposed to say: "I like it, but I can't recommend it to you because I just don't feel right spend your money."

Let me guess... you dont have CA? It's an option that builds in respect over time, so if you don't have it due to not appreciating it on a test drive, I understand your opinion. CA is the one option that is virtually without debate among those who opted for it. Not options that win anyone over on a test drive I tend to evaluate my options based on satisfaction among those who use a product. IMHO, only the most blunt options (i.e. more powerful engines) have arguable merits amongst those who didnt choose said option. Glad you're enjoying your car and that extra $500. To each his own. I remember when antilock brakes seemed like tech gimmickry. You obviously like the ADDED step of inserting a fob and then pressing a button. IMHO, CA would be less of a tool if BMW hadn't gone with a start button, which only makes sense to me if CA keeps the process one step.

It should be a free option, it's a waste of $500. Save it and put it toward something useful.

What could be more useful than CA? You use it every single time you do anything with your car. Sure it should be free, but as another post says - the cost seems smaller every day.

I figured the main advantage of CA was starting my engine remotely, but since I wanted a manual, it didn't seem to be a wise idea.

It irritates me that they can cost it this way because of demand, when it costs virtually nothing to make.

Ya, you make some good points. Thing is, I have used CA before, and I found it cool--no doubts there. But I personally wouldn't drop $500 for it, I like to be more tactile with my automobile. We get frisky...
