Received my f11 520 sport auto today.
I´m confused. I can´t see the 16 speakers. (1 center 2 at front doors, 1 back doors 2 in the boot)...
How can i know if i have the professional (16 speakers and 600w) or the Hi-fi 12 speakers and (205) system?
They both have equalizer and surround? Same menus same features?
Is there any difference in the software of i drive menu.

You probably dont see all the speakers, but there are suppost to be:
2 in the centre front (Tweeter and Mid-tone)
2 in each door (Tweeter and Mid-tone)
4 in the roof/hat-rack /(2 Tweeters and 2 Mid-tone)
2 Sub-woofers under the front seats.

As far as I know only the HiFi Prrofessional has the equaliser and surround mode. What do you think of the sound quality?

You will NOT get BMW assist without Pro-Nav.
You can NOT download from google either.
The sound system is concealed hard to tell, I only go for Business upgrade, it seems load and clear enough for my needs.
I always have pro-nav though.

I have equaliser and surround mode. But i think the hi-fi as too?
The sound quality is very good. I have the car for 2 days only. I didn´t get familiar with the sund system yet. I´m using the usb port and ipod touch, The integration with ipod features is awsome. I think some of my musics aren´t with good soubd quality.
i have erd a demonstration cd from bmw and was impresse.
will try better the music from ipod

No, Hi-Fi has same number of speakers but no surround.

Here you go. Go to this link and the second posting in the thread has an attachment with a full explanation of the HiFi system and speaker placement. Remember there is both a tweeter and a midrange soeaker hidden behind the grille of your front center speaker, rear door speakers and rear deck speakers so they count as 2.
