GOOD NEWS! My car isn't being built!
Ordered my 335i coupe in January. I am hoping for a late May delivery since my current lease runs out on 6/8. SA called me today to tell me that BMW picked up all his 335i orders to be built EXCEPT MINE! He tells me that this virtually insures me that it will be built in March for May delivery. PLUS it means that I will get a car with the March production changes. Don't have to worry about the car not being there when my lease expires, leaving me without a car. ONLY one problem. I now have another month to think about whether I want to make any changes to the colors or options that I ordered.
335i coupe/ Sapphire Black/Coral red/Dark poplar trim(EDIT:Gray poplar) Six Speed MT Sport Package Premium Package Heated seats Rear park control I originally intended to order Crimson red/Black/Dark Poplar and Comfort access, but I really was not crazy about the Crimson red when I saw it in the showroom and I don't really need the CA. I know I will get quite a few replies urging me to get the CA or the Crimson. That's OK. Last edited by DrGP; 02-03-2007 at 11:30 AM.. |

I have always said, "Nothing looks better than a black interior". BUT, since the outside of the car is black, and I initially wanted a red exterior, I figure that the red seats, door inserts, and console cover, would jazz up the car a little. Thr rest of the interior will still be black. I have had previous Black on Black cars and just want something different.

Color is totally up to you, nice combo btw. CA however, is something you must get. I would be doing you a great disservice if I did not adamantly argue for you to get CA. Get CA. You won't regret it.

I agree with what he said, I'm too lazy to justify my reasons supporting it though.

I have never been a big fan of white for a car, but this car looks great in AW. If I had to choose over again it would be a tougher choice. I really like the AW/Black, or even the AW/coral.

The only car color that I hate more than White is Green. Generally, the only car colors that really appeal to me are Red and Black. I do wish that I could get Imola or Indianapolis red. The Barbera red is just too dull for my taste.

Loved Imola, not sure why they keep changing the recipe?

By dark poplar, you do mean gray, don't you? Folks on this forum are very precise when it comes to their terminology.

The major changes are that if you get NAV, the unit includes 6 programmable buttons. You can also get iPod/USB adaptor installed at the factory (6FL) for much less than it would cost installed at the dealership.
If there are other changes someone please chime in |

I think you made an excellent choice!... Only thing i would change (due to personal preference) is add idrive/bluetooth/CA. My sis has bluetooth and i think it's really hot! But i want to keep my calls private so i didn't order it, and as for Comfort access, i think it's a cool cheap factory installed mod. Only thing is they say about washing the car and the door unlocking and locking and you have to be a certain distance to open the trunk... Well i didn't order it neither, and idrive is the one thing i did get and enjoy VERY much. In either case, the options you have listed are excellent and the color combo as well. You're going to LOVE you car.!!! Hope it get's here soon.

I would add comfort access and remove park distance, change the wood to gray, just me. Otherwise, def. thumbs up on sport/prem/coral. With comfort access I am keyless, to open, and to close. No fob in my hand, I like that, and no fob into the dash.
Never understood the concept of park distance, with the 35's in the rear there's a good chance of curb rashing the rim, I'd be paying attention to the curb more so than what's behind me. That's on the 335 and also my daily driver which has got 40's all around. Ooops, didn't notice you don't have premium. In that case, remove heated seats and park distance without a doubt. Is this a leatherette car?? If you're ordering that, have you seen it in person (strongly suggested)... |

heated seats is a MUST! You don't know how important that simple feature is. In the winter i put it on while i start my car, and 3 minutes later it's warmer and warmer. Prior to turning on the heating system. Heated seats MUST!..
