rest heat not working...bad battery??
i've done my fair share of searching about dead batteries and changing out dead batteries, but nothing really related the rest heat not working and a battery going bad....
my car went 3 days without being driven/started, and when i finally got to drive it, it started and drove with no problems - i turned the car off, and the rest heat wouldn't turn on. i thought maybe the car wasn't up to temp, that wasn't the case since i drove the car all the way up to temp (230 oil temp). i read through the manual and saw one of the conditions for the rest heat was "battery has sufficient voltage", and right as im reading that, the "battery low charge level" light came on. so i took the car out for an extended highway drive (over 50 miles) and when i stopped the car, the rest heat worked. i figured great its all better now, but the next day the same thing happened - no rest heat. is my battery on its last leg?? EDIT a new update - i drove home on the highway tonight, got home, turned the car off and hit the rest heat...it turned on for about 2 seconds and turned it off right away. i think my battery is bad.

It might be that you having some bad cells in your battery..So that your battery will charge and will working fine.. but it wont hold up charge long and thats why after one night its low again..

Also, what was the outside temperature? It won't work when it's above a certain temperature outside.
I am going to miss that REST feature more than anything this year. Curse you "ALL" button!

Outside temp is at or around 45 degrees...I thought this might be the case, but in the searching I've done and in the manual, it says it will work anywhere below 77*F

Are you trying to use rest while your car is on? From what you stated, seems like you're trying to drive with it on.
