With professional navigation, can mp3's be played from DVD (4,7gb)?

Super, this means something like 45 mp3 albums on one dvd. I will not need an usb at all.

If you spend so much money on a new car, add the usb to make it complet. It works so perfect with an ipod, you will regret it later if you go for burning DVDs for your car.

i did get the USB option for my ipod - but when I discovered 12gb of disc space, and an easy ability to burn 4gb of mp3's on DVD, take them into the car, and copy them straight onto the hard drive....

Well, I don't ever used the iPod anymore.

Why burn DVDs when you can upload with a USB stick? I found it is very slow with a CD/DVD compared to a USB upload.

Do you unplug your USB flash drive when you turn off your car?

I found that the access light of the USB flash drive kept blinking away after the car was off! So I removed the drive. I was planning to leave it plugged in.

Do you see the album covers and can you control the drive in any way - like moving from album to album and shuffling?

The USB connection will be switched of once you lock the car. In the same way, the car will start up the USB once you unlock the car. This way the music will start to play immediately when you press the start button without any delay.
