My gains: Stock, GIAC S1, GIAC S2
Rather than post baseline numbers and peak numbers I am going to simply post my gains between each stage. Afterall, that is what is most important, you simply cannot compare dyno runs - there are too many variables that can skew the numbers. I don't want to start a tuner/hp/flash vs. piggyback/etc. war. Because of this I will not be posting dynos, boost logs or AFR maps.
I am just sharing my experience - nothing more, nothing less. The rest of my mods are in my sig Thanks for reading "Baseline" Stock ECU Bolt on Power Mods: FMIC, DP, Exhaust "Stage 1" GIAC S1 Bolt on Power Mods: FMIC, DP, Exhaust + 40whp + 51wtq "Stage 2" GIAC S2 Bolt on Power Mods: FMIC, DP, Exhaust, CAI, MP + 39whp + 55wtq Summary - GIAC S2 with the addition of CAI and MP added 79whp and 106wtq. The power delivery is silky smooth and I am extremely pleased with the overall results and driving experience. The power of the car far exceeds my driving abilities so the next mods will be more driving schools and autocrosses. Cheers

Very nice, although its sad you can't post the dyno's, I would be interested to see them since i'm on my way to stg 2. I'm assuming this is with 93 oct?
Do you need the Oil cooler to go stg2? My shop said no, but i thought i read somewhere you do. Also....how do you like your IC? I'm trying to decide which one to purchase, any reason why you went with AMS?

I chose the AMS because they make a great product and have tons of experience in the forced induction aftermarket arena. They produce some of the fastest EVO's and GTR's on the planet. They are local to me and I was one of their test cars so that was a bonus as well

Where did you get flashed? I am thinking of getting a base dyno soon and then get Stage 2 after install an intercooler and an intake.

Great. Did you just pay the difference to upgrade from S1 to S2 + labor?

Fantastic. I might stop by some time soon and get Stage 1 cause I am impatient like that. Once I get the intercooler + intake, I'll bump up to Stage 2 and get the map switcher then...

The reason seeing a dyno charts is more useful than seeing peak gains, is that it will show all improvements throughout the entire rpm range. I would rather have less peak gains and more average improvement over the whole rpm range. So, peak gains are actually less important. Nice car btw. |
