Claiming the Worlds SLOWEST 335 (NA mode tested)
Elevation 5280
Weight ~3900lbs with driver (xi) Pretty damn comical/cool. It's definitely louder and you can get the first sense when you switch to Map 3 as it gets a deeper tone even at idle. Give this log a look Last edited by forza1976; 05-12-2011 at 11:56 PM.. Reason: removed pics to gain storage |

Nope. I'll do that soon but other things are more pressing right now. I'm guessing it would put down around 160-170whp at sea level. And 25% less power where the OP is. 125whp in the OP's 3900lb car is a power-to-weight ratio of 31lbs per whp. I can't really think of much worse than that. Prius maybe?

Very, very cool stuff!
Also interested in whether this really makes a measurable difference in fuel economy or not - and what it sounds like! I assume though that there's no way to bounce back and forth w/o losing adaptations? Given that no one ever seems to want to answer the "can we map switch w/o reset question" I'm guessing that's the case? |

You should call it the "HPFP Map"
In all seriousness, this sounds great - especially if it makes a noticeable difference in mpg. That said, I'm guessing it won't as when you're on that map the gas pedal will probably be 3/4 down most of the time. Makes for a great valet mode though, for sure! |

^ This is the drawback of a piggyback. I think a lot of people who don't do the research, or who don't own one assume that these "maps" are similar to having an AEM standalone with separate "maps."
It's not. When you switch back and forth, you don't get a new "map," you get new adaptations on the current DME's adjustments. If you're using the NA map where you're running very little boost and lots of timing, you wouldn't want to switch to your high boost map without the computer learning it needs to back the timing off first. |

It's a small price to pay though, for the kind of functionality the Vishnu guys are providing. If you had a Honda and bought an AEM computer and paid a tuner to give you 2 to 3 separate tunes to have on file, you'd be near $3,000 in some cases. |
