it looks like there is a crease in the trunk ,looking at the backseat, i never tried, but wondered, can they lean forward for more room in the trunk area?

they fold down if you have the winter package

Zcw = cold weather package. I've actually never folded mine...check your manual if it's not intuitive for you

If you have it, there are 2 seat release hatches in the trunk, one for each section of the seat.

is there anyway you can fold them without cold package? and if you have heated seats then you have cold package.

There is the option to get both heated seats and folding rears as standalone options. So it is possible to have one or the other or both without having the cold weather package. So while often heated seats and folding rears are optioned on cars as part of the ZCW, this is not always the case. IIRC headlight washers are only part of ZCW, so if you have those then you definitely have heated front seats and folding rear ones.

If you have the option, you will see these levers under the lid in the trunk; one on the left and one on the right. Pull the lever for what side you want to fold down or both. End result is the last picture. Sorry for the mess back there, the USPS box is all my detailing stuff... I was too lazy to clean it up before the picture... Also, its almost 9:30PM here and used my Blackberry, so the pictures came out like garbage...

Headlight washers are also a standalone option (at least from 09'). I have heated seats, folding rear seats, & headlight washers - but no Cold Weather Pkg.

Only item I don't have which is part of CW is the Ski Bag Pass Thru...

Your headlight washers were standard on your e92 because it's an Xi.

Hmm...before I posted that I went to build a 335 on bmwusa and they did not have it listed as a standalone option for MY11s at least...

Was there a year where this changed?
