Engine bay wiring question
Hi All, I wonder if anyone could help me. I need to get a cable from the engine bay into the cabin, has anyone done this and do they know the best/easiest route. I have had a look around and couldn’t find an obvious route.
Thanks Alan |

That is hard to say on your wrong hand drive vehicle.
How big of a wire? You could pass it into the DME box and then through the pass through in it. You could also poke a hole in one of the boots such as the clutch. Just poke it with something smaller than the wie so that it seals around the wire. |

It is about 5mm diameter (sheethed 4 core cable), but 1 core is unused and the sheeth could be removed so could be made smaller. I will have a look for any boots around the foot well. Trouble is, it is hard to see as the engine sits well back aginst the bulk head, hence the reason for asking if anyone had found an easy route in to the cabin.

Granted, this is a vacuum line but the premise is the same. However, with your pedals on the other side, I'm not sure how everything is laid out.
