Removing OEM FootRest

Just bought the OEM aluminum sport pedal together with the M-Power FootRest. Need instruction of removing the original footrest, because it was so tight in place that I am having difficulty of removing it...!!

I believe the aluminum foot rest is a screw-on on the regular foot rest.
