Auto shift knob replacement

Is the only option still the BMW performance auto shift knob? That's pretty much the only one i found in past threads. my stock knob is peeling and i wouldn't mind replacing it w/ something a little nicer.

Yes for oem option. I upgraded for the very same reason. I actually cut myself on several occasion with the sharp edges of paint peel. Who knew driving a bimmer would be that dangerous! Haha

i don't really like the pro knob and the retrofitted m5 knob it too much hassle. i haven't really seen any aftermarket options. all the knobs are for manual.

What don't you like about the performance? Big difference from the stock oem that came with your car. It's not as hot to handle when you get in the car in the summer time and vice versa in the winter.

I've seen the SMG knob from the 645Ci... and it looks great and feels great. Only problem is that I don't like how it says SMG on it

Bimmian.com has a great Carbon Fibre knob for step tranny. It took some modification but my dealer installed it for me n/c.
