Is 46k miles a lot for an e92 335i? My friend wants to buy an e92 335i. He's using my username to read your opinions. I say it's not that much, it's an 07.

Nope. I'd go for the Easy Care extended warranty though. I got my easy care negotiated down to $1200 and it was in the financing.

Yes. For the 335, it will more than likely be worth it. As said above, the total miles isn't a real issue, but owning a 335 with absolutely no warranty has the potential to get expensive at any random moment.

That's fine, and actually good. So if there are any immediate issues with the car, he can get pretty much anything taken care of at the dealer with no problems during the original warranty period. We're suggesting he get the extended warranty for after this though, as a security blanket. Getting slapped with a huge repair bill at random isn't cool.

lol I don't think your friend has much to worry about. 46k miles is not high at all. Have him do a quick search around here to see how many high mile 335s there really are.
Sure there will be maintenance at one point or another but thats just part of owning such a vehicle imo. |

I have 52k on mine... that said, I do have extended warranty. Nope... 46k is not too bad. You still have a few months of warranty so take it to the dealer and take care of outstanding items as folks mentioned earlier. Have them pull service records... and go from there.
I'd also strongly suggest purchasing an extended warranty... hopefully he is getting a good deal on it. |

Price is all up to the dealer that is selling the service contract. $1200 is very cheap if you got the EasyCare TotalCare Plan (the best)
I believe the dealer cost for EasyCare ranges from $500-1200 depending on coverage level, length, etc. BTW, I have had personal experience with EasyCare and would highly recommend them to anyone needing coverage. |
