i'd probably bet a 330i with 75k is more reliable then my 30k 335i lol
actually, i don't really know, read some threads about common problems with 330i's

IMO, I would go for something under 50k mi. It may take some time, but you will find another car with those options and fewer miles.

No offense, but 18k for a 75,000 mile BMW is not worth the money. If you think about it, that's almost the price of a new Camry.

The 330i is not fast. 0-60 time is almost 7 seconds where a new Camry V6 can do it in 6. 75k is almost the end of the car's life anyways. If not, enjoy a crap ton of repairs (I foresee something with the notoriously bad longevity of the radiator and its affiliated parts).

TL;DR: If you can't pay the price for a new or slightly used BMW, it's a really bad idea. You gotta pay to play.

I'm bracing for all the 330i owners trolling me. UH DERP MY CAR IZ RELIABLE & ISN'T SLOWER THAN A CAMRY DERP DERP

I had a v6 09 camry for a lil while and it was 260ish HP. the i4 version is def less than 200. I timed it several times and the 09 camry will not do 0-60 in 6 seconds either more like 6.6 - 6.8.

well mr.wong is just too smart for all of us as usual. Trust me the E46 is one of BMW's best body style. I would gladly take a 330i coupe over a camry for some many reasons.

What's going on with you and Autozone? Lol, I hate autozone, but I was just curious as to your new punch line.

I ditched all my E90's at 50k and I'm glad that I did.

However I did have a 95 M5 with well over 120k and that thing was a fucking champ.

first time i used it was about latinos, which frequent autozone like they are giving away free fender vents

this time i used it because very few AZ know anything about euro's, hondas are their car of choice typically

I agree with you 100% but isn't the op talking about an 06 330i, which is a E90.

To touch on the OP's question, why are people so willing to dish out that much cash for a used high mileage 3 series?

OP, I bought my 2007 328i with 30,000 miles August 2009 for $22k...

30,000 miles and it was pristine with every option (6MT).

I just bought a 2011 VW GTI with 6 miles on it for $24k out the door... Logic? My GTI beats the shit out of a 328i any day, faster, better gas mileage, warranty, new, easy to mod, reliable, etc.

If I were you I would go with something in your budget with low miles, aka 20,000 miles.

Even for $16.5 I would be hesitant, that is too many miles in my opinion, plus the OP doesn't know who drove it, maintenance, abuse, etc.

I sold it and am using the funds to complete my track car, but I got a little side tracked and ended up buying a 2011 GTI.

Luckily I got a new higher paying job so I'm saving up for my E30.
